1893-1953

Russian born Set designer who worked with Sir Frederick Ashton from 1926 until her accidental death in Chelsea in 1953.They met in 1925 when introduced by Rambert.

Ashton said " In her death I lost not only my dearest friend but my greatest artistic collaborator and designer"
